Apologies for responding to this off-topic throw-away remark. For those who are not following the CBOR WG: What Anders says is not what has been done in the WG. Several people have pointed out on the WG list that Anders tends to relay confusing perspectives about what is going on, repeated even after having been corrected multiple times on list. (Anders definitely makes rather useful contributions to the WG, this idiosyncrasy just tends to repeatedly create a requirement to add some salt that may not be available outside the WG (*).) Now back to the identification of algorithms and their parameters, which of course is interesting for CBOR/COSE as well. Grüße, Carsten (*) Explaining the details would be even more off-topic for this WG. But rest assured that we have a good common way to do deterministic serialization in CBOR, much of which is specified in RFC 8949, and some more esoteric parts in the currently active and soon to be completed draft-ietf-cbor-cde. _______________________________________________ jose mailing list -- [email protected] To unsubscribe send an email to [email protected]
