The JOSE wg met Thursday 5-7 pm at IETF 123. All adopted working documents were discussed. All but one were updated, and the author has confirmed an update coming soon. More review on all documents is requested.
The working group recently conducted a WGLC on: Use of Hybrid Public Key Encryption (HPKE) with JSON Object Signing and Encryption (JOSE) https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-jose-hpke-encrypt/ >From the WGLC, it was clear that there is additional work that needs to be done on the document. Some questions were asked with a rough consensus that the draft needs to explicitly update RFC 7516 and the working group needs to define a new JWE Key Management Mode? Further discussion taken to the mailing list.
