OK, so we have ruled out invalid data from JOSM being the cause of
the problem. JOSM did consider the upload to be complete, but I guess
the application uploads the data points first and then the ways.
Apperently the ways didn't make it up ... Is there any kind of
checking for such problems in JOSM - incomplete uploads? I'm just 
wondering if I can trust JOSM. I understand that the simple solution
is to always remember to save in JOSM (which I didn't because I
thought the data was completely uploaded).
