I came across MyTourbook <http://mytourbook.sourceforge.net/> today. It does a good job at visualizing Garmin TCX files on OpenStreetMap tiles, among many other things. It is based on Java SWT and Eclipse RCP (Rich Client Platform). The source code license is GNU GPL.
