It will be and very fast. I encourage both of these fixes as they aren't pure academic cleanups but help to solve real problems even if they will introduce trouble for some time (as did my projection cleanup :-) > as I don't have svn account, but the patch should be finished and If you want to continue developing JOSM in the way you did last time we can change that easily.
