Hello,

I made 1981 new tested.

This means when no BIG issues pop up next few days then the next round for bigger changes is open the next two weeks and afterwards two weeks finetuning, so that we may have next release mid of September.

I think this release has the largest revision difference (1981-1788) and nearly nothing is in the news section. Most of the changes are not visible to users, but are probably very important for josm's future.

As long as we have such valuable contributors as Karl and Jiri (thanks to both of you and all the others) I think we should try to keep the 2+2 week release schedule outlined above.

One note: Althought especially Karl, Jiri and Dieter Mücke have been very active fixing bug reports we still have a growing number of these. At the moment we have 203 defects and a total of 374 entries. About 2-3 months ago we had 130 defects which means a big growth.

I know it is always more fun to develop fancy new stuff (and Karl's stuff are big improvements for josm), but keeping the bugs low is also important. So I would be happy if some more people keep an eye on the bug tracker and fix this or that bug sometimes. Also helping to get reports reproducable or add valuable information sometimes would be a good idea. We have some long standing bugs which have lots of duplicates and seem to be hard to track down at all.

Ciao
