If there is no technical reason, then I'm going to enter this is a bug.
Minor issues like this should be posted to the bug tracker directly. The
mailing list is more for meta discussion and if you like to reach a
wider audience.
Anyway, thanks for reporting it. We rely on you power users to find the
bugs. :)
