That's an excellent summary - I'll have to remember that. Sometimes new mappers think that they need to back up their experience of a local area by saying things like "you can confirm this by looking at Google StreetView". It's their experience of a local area that's important, not the fact that other users can confirm how things were at some time in the past by looking at pictures on the Internet.
