I think the the above mail that came to the joyneters today from priya Joy from Cochin about the conviction of a full timer Annie, is very comforting and encouraging. Priya, your conviction that the name of Jesus is powerful is a magnet and thatr is why you thought of sending this mail to us. I am planning to share this incident with the people from the pulpit today. There are many other things I might share but I like to include this seemingly silly and yet powerful incident. We might say that it is silly for a bus to stop at the name of Jesus but at the name of Jesus if things are revealed to us we might say that is wonderful. A Philadelphia experience I was sharing with a couple last week end and amazingly enough as we kept praising Jesus the rest of the group was in adoration before the Blessed Sacrament and at that time the three of us were enveloped by the Holy Power of God. That was an anointed moment at Philadelphia. Tears and interesting revelations, conversion, change of attitudes, convictions, strength to change the family's life style, and powerful singns were felt and experienced. I will say " Praised be the name of Jesus". Miracles happen in our day today lives unaware that they take place. Annie the fiull timer who was waiting for a bus felt the ned to call on the name of God in her frustration. We know how frustrating to wait for a bus and if the buses wont stop. At times instead of the name of Jesus some other names and words come out of our mouth. But Annie's mouth in her simplicity mentioned the name of jesus. At the mighty name of jesus in her frustratiuon God became present. I think that God experience and her conviction to share that seemingly silly incident is an acid test of her faith experience. it calls allus for for conversion. We might look at greater things and people like St. peter who called on the name of Jesus to heal the sick. There is nothing wrong in trusting in the saints but it could be beneficial to kow that they were simple people like us. They had great faith. They were faithful in simple things so God appoi! nted them for greater things. When Peter walked in the temple precincts of Jerusalem, he said to the paralytic " in the mighty name of Jesus I ask you stand and walk ". Lo and behold, he stood up and walked. The legs that were pralyzed for years became functional. God at work in New York It happened in New York and that was last year. There was a girl and she was in her late teens.( I forgot her name). She lost her eye sight. She became blind. She held my hands and told me " How I wish I could see your face and see the faces of my family and freindds again" She didnt drop tears but was smiling and I wont forget that plastic smile. It was Mr. Varghese who brought me to the prayer meeting. The family was desperate and we started praying for the out pouring of the Holy Spirit and the miracle of Healing. After the family prayer, this girl who went blind and myself sat by the fire place while the rest of the group kept chating and laughing. This girl and myself we kept praying for inner healing which is the preample for physical healing as i understand. There was the strogest feeling that she was going to be healed. Acknowledging our sins and our ancestpr's sins we begged God for forgiveness and deliverence from all bondages. God gave us the freedom to priase and worship. I didnt realize tht the whole group became silent and started praising God with us. At the end of the prayer I felt that she was given the election by God to be an instrument for many to beleive. I told Mr.Varghese who sat next to me " God is going to heal her". He had tears as answer. I asked the girl to start the novena. She and the family and many others started the novena and the Holy Rosary. On the ninth day the family was gathered at a church. I heard that there were also some priests present. On that ninth day after the prayer and praise and worship God answered. Before noon time as I have heared, she rubbed her eyes and said to her mom that she could see again. An amazing healing in New York city. God opened this young lady's eyes then and there on the ninth day of prayers and worship in New york city. At the mighty name of Jesus the eyes of the blind was opened in New York city. I went to Nw York last week prior to the Kairos and I came to know of this amazing healing . No one told me that she was healed. I kept on praying for this woman's healing often, till last week. It all happend that I was there in new York for the July 3rd Holy Mass in the same Church where we started the Novena and after the Mass someone mentioned to be about this miracle which refreshed my memories. There I praised and thanked God. This is my recollection of the incident from what I have heared. I don't remember the name of the girl or her family name. But I remember that beautiful face and the pain on that face. Much more the conviction this young lady had that Jesus was going to Heal her. She got healed and another happy news about her is that she is going to India to get married . I wish and pray that she finds the best person in the world as her husband with whom she will keep witnessing Jesus all her life. Praise be the name of Jesus.
