Dear Joyfulnetters, When December 30th comes every year, I think with joy and gratitude the Lord's abundant blessings (I remember the hymn--count your blessings, name them one by one). Today is my sister Elizabeth's 6th wedding anniversary. Praise God!
Elizabeth was married on December 30th 1995. I was married on January 15th 1995, ahead of her even though she was five years elder to me ( due to the family situations prevailing then---my father had suddenly expired after fixing my marriage.) I was very upset about it and I found it difficult to face her. By God's grace, the Lord brought me to Kerala, so there were less chances of meeting her frequently. I turned to St Antony and pleaded for the saint's intercession to our Lord Jesus and prayed that she be married in 1995 itself.(so that atleast our year of marriage be the same). In November the same year, I got a phone call from home that Elizabeth is getting married. I could't believe it for a moment. I asked, 'what is the date'? Mom said, 'December 3oth'. Just one day was left for the year 1995 to get over. (Luke 1:37). Praise God! Thankyou Jesus! Later on, I came to know that my brother-in-law, Angelochetan (whose younger brother also was married before him) is a devotee of St. Antony. Thankyou Jesus! Thankyou St. Antony! Even their son Alfred (our Godson) is two and a half years elder to our son Isaac. UNBELIEVABLE, YET, VERY TRUE! PRAISE GOD!
