Dear Friends, Praise the Lord.
This is my first mail for the year 2002. I am so happy to share this to you friends the way Abba Father answered our prayers and wiped our tears and filled us with His mighty Happiness. My Mummy�s younger sister�s name is Jayashree who is married to a hindu man named Swaminathan and it is twenty three years since they are married. Her husband wanted to convert before marriage and become a catholic for marriage sake. Aunty never liked the idea of he becoming a catholic for the sake of marriage but wanted him to accept Lord Jesus as his saviour and become a catholic out of real love for Abba Father. From then aunty has been interceding for uncle. She had taken him thrice to Divine Retreat Centre and the third time after coming from Divine during our family prayer he cried out that Lord Jesus is his only saviour. This gave us a lot of happiness that he has accepted Lord Jesus as his personal saviour. Praise and thank you Lord Jesus. Last month Sr. Merinna from Divine Retreat Centre had come down to Chennai. Aunty told Sister about uncle the way he accepted Lord Jesus. Immediately Sr. Merinna wanted us to continue praying for uncle to receive the sacraments. Aunty was wondering how to tell uncle to receive the sacraments and asked Lord Jesus to speak to uncle to receive the sacraments. Lord has His own ways of working out a miracle. Past three weeks my uncle is not keeping well because of fluid in lungs and block in the heart. We just accepted this suffering from Abba Father�s hands and thanked and praised Father God as it is given in the Bible 1 Thessalonians 5:16 � 18 � BE JOYFUL ALWAYS, PRAY AT ALL TIMES, BE THANKFUL IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES. THIS IS WHAT GOD WANTS FROM YOU IN YOUR LIFE IN UNION WITH CHRIST JESUS. Beleiving out this sickness and suffering which He has permitted in uncle�s life God will do something good for uncle as given in Romans 8:28 � WE KNOW THAT IN ALL THINGS GOD WORKS FOR GOOD WITH THOSE WHO LOVE HIM, THOSE WHO HE HAS CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE. We had called Brother who�s retreat we attend everymonth to pray over uncle. Brother prayed over him and uncle received healing from Lord Jesus and Brother spoke to uncle saying that Lord Jesus wanted him to receive the sacraments as he has accepted Lord Jesus as his saviour. Uncle agreed and baptism was given first and yesterday he received holy communion and confirmation. Uncle�s health is improving. All praise and thanks to Abba Father, Lord Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit Lord for answering our prayers and filling us with His happiness. My aunt had to pray for uncle for twenty three years and her prayers were answered filling her with Father�s mighty happiness. As taken from the book written by Father James Manjakal On Prayer.
