If you know the Rex Band and the situations of all the people that
make the band and if you are unbiased in your judgment, you will see
that now is the "KAIROS" for their coming to the US. Before, the people
here were not ready. Now, it is verging on too late for many young
people to hear their testimony, see their testimony and feel their
testimony. Many a youth here are at the brink of calamity, spiritually
speaking. The young ones who look up to these youngsters as role models
are trekking the same path as their elders. Almost every family has at
least one kid going for dancing or such arts training. What they learn
there, or the medium of instruction, so to speak, is definitely not
christian. These tender minds and souls pick up everything like a
blotter picks up ink. Parents are living in a dream world of pseudo
security created by the Dollar god. They will pay thousands for Karate
schooling or dance training, ballet, Bharathanatyam etc., but will not
pay a dime for spiritual training of their kids. They live thinking "my
kid is o.k., he/she will be fine under my training". Some parents have
woken up with a jolt to find out that their children are not what they
thought or expected to be, a terrible blow to their ego filled head.
They run to Dr. Manoj and the like hollering, "save my kid, take him/her
to your retreats". They simply will not come because so many opportune
moments were ignored. Incidents among Malayalee youth should prove my
point.
Now what can Rex Band do for this generation of youth running wild
after different fads and styles and don't know where they are going? I
think, a lot. Not because the Rex Band has music that is superior to any
other type considering the tastes of this generation, but because it has
something that most don't have, most christian bands don't have, MUSIC
THAT IS ANOINTED BY THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. Much prayer and
fasting precedes, accompanies and follows the Rex Band programs, both
by the team members and other Spirit filled people. This prayerful
sessions can change lives, change them for the Lord Jesus. NOW IS THE
TIME and we should NOT DELAY at all. If we do, we will have to answer to
the Lord who will ask "where is your brother".
This is where we come in. Those in America can help in many ways,
publicity, financing, bringing the youth for the programs and above all,
what every one of us can do PRAY and FAST. Let us start a continuous
prayer chain starting today. I am hoping there will be at least 600
people among us willing to pitch in. God has no time barrier. So this
prayer chain will be different from the normal ones. if every one prays
about 2.4 minutes a day and we add all these times we get 24 hours. Let
us make it an even 5 minutes a day or say 2.5 minutes two times a day,
and make two chains of prayer and give to our mother Mary and she will
make a garland of it around the Sacred Heart of Jesus. You will see
miracles happen by this. Each person do it at his own time and
convenience. let us work for the Lord, let us remain in His word and be
His true disciples.
