Dear Friends, I had watched the Movie "MOSES".. and it moved my heart in a special way.. and it was while watching that i felt a release of wisdom by the Holy Spirit.. Moses is the shadow of the Christ....and so as we see.. moses was a child saved by the lord , at his birth, when all other babies were being slaughtered... moses was called the prince of egypt, son of the paraoh.. moses, had gone thru much suffering, when he ran away.. it was his days of penance, and he returned to save his people, and lead them to the promised land.. thru the 40 years journey across the dessert, many with lesser and no faith perished, and only the faithful reached the land of cannan. Moses , being human, committed errors, but was a most humble person, and loved by the Lord.
In Jesus' case, at his time of birth , many innocent children were slaughtered, but Jesus was saved by the Lord's providence. Jesus was called the son of man, son of the Almighty God, and so the prince of heaven, the prince of peace.. Jesus went thru much suffering during his time on earth and during his crucifixtion, and it was for our sakes, to save us he died. and like moses , who returned to take the people from the land of egypt, Jesus will come to take us away from this earth , place of sin or egypt... and after we be with him (ie the journey in the dessert with moses, and with God's mighty providence), and journey with him for some time ( as told in the book of revelations, about the 1000 year reign with Christ), again we will be filtered, and only those worthy.. will enter the promised land, a place of rest, our home, heaven. so we must wait like the israelites waited, with hope, and courage, and trusting the lord.. that he will come. and like God destroyed egypt with plagues like frogs , locusts, hail, darkness, boils, nile turned into blood, and then the taking away of the first borns..so will He also destroy the earth after we are taken to safety.. frogs= something we dislike and abhor, and disgust locusts= these ate away the food, so it may mean that during the apocalypse, people would die of hunger.. hail = these destroyed all magnificient things and structures that the egyptians adored and loved, so in our times it would symbolise destruction of economies, and wealth of the nations.. darkness= this would symbolise the spiritual darkness that would follow with a great intensity river of blood, nile = wars resulting in loss of life, shedding of blood of millions.. taking away of firstborns =losing our beloved ones, our most prized possessions that would leave us totally lost in the final battle... BUT, all this would not come to pass, unless we christians suffered like the Israelistes did in the time of moses... and as we are seeing the christians suffering badly, in india..in usa( sept 11), and across the world, remember that the time is near, when the Lord shall appear in Glory to save His people.. once and for all.
