>From my perspective, the biggest issue has to do with the inability to automate getting plugins out of the repository. I'd like to be able to ask the repo for version X.y of some specific plugin, and be able to get it. I think that'd be pretty easy to add in; instead of just dumping the files into a big global directory, save the files as foo.jquery-1.1.zip. I'd also like to finalize the plugin metadata syntax. If that could be incorporated, it'd be possible to automate installation of both plugins and their dependencies. That possibility really excites me, as it would allow the community to still center around plugins, while creating the feel of a more monolithic library (like Dojo) where everything is tightly managed.
