First for the bug.
This bug has already been submitted(Ticket number 3500) and it seems like
the fix suggested(removing lines 278 -291) fixes the issues in IE 6 and IE
7. Is this planned to be fixed for jQuery 1.3 because a few of my plug-ins
required the moved version of jQuery to run this(and i have yet to see any
issues in IE 6 or IE 7 when removing the suggested code). It would be great
to hear an update on this ticket as it seems like a pretty big bug(at least
to me this this function is very useful for clone html with events).

Now for the feature suggestion.
I think it would be helpful to have a second parameter for the clone
function that would be false by default and if it was set to true, it would
automatically remove the cloned element. I seem to find my self doing that
just so there will not be any element with the same id as i know this can
cause issues. Let me know what you think of this feature. If you would
like i would be willing to try to do this myself becuase it seems like it
would not add much code and should be fairly simple to do.
