To elminate false positives, you'll have to pad the tagName with
delmimeters, like so:
~".body.head.whatever.".indexOf('.'+nodeName.toLowerCase()+'.')
...and the last time I benchmarked, this whole thing was *way* slower
than a static RegExp.
