My guess IE6 will be supported by the "enhanced" Silverlight version of MS-OWApps.They made clear early on that Silverlight will not be required and OWApps will work natively in browsers like Firefox and Safari, but Silverlight will be an optional technology used. Since Silverlight 3 supports IE6 on Windows 2000 and XP SP2/SP3 they will probably use that version on those corporate intranets that still run IE6.
So although it might be a strong statement to us about the phasing out of IE6, the general public won't have a clue since OWA will definately work on their corporate intranet in IE6.
