I put together a very basic demo page for the jCarouselLite with the tabs plugin... With some minor css tweaks, it seems to work pretty neat... As usual IE6 is not playing well, but i am sure this can be solved with some more css tweaks...
take a look at http://www.gmarwaha.com/jquery/jcarousellite/tabsTest.php It is in normal carousel mode, so the after the last item, u might circle back to the first one. to use jCarouselLite as a menu should not be a problem. You need not use images as its items. Any HTML markup will work. Theoritically, tabs plugin should work fine with jCarouselLite.
