[jQuery] synchronous getScript ?

Hello,

Following Erik suggestion, I'm using getScript to load a script.

The load is asynchronous, is there a way to wait until the script is
loaded and the functions it provides are available ?

function init () {
   do the init of...;

}

jQuery(document).ready(function()
    {
if(!$.isFunction($.fn['tablesorter'])) {
  $.getScript('/path/...', function() {
    init ();
  });
} else {
  init ();
}
