hello friends,

quesiton: i'm working on a very designed website where pixelcrips is a cause
for concern, where depending on the screen resolution, elements will be
positioned differently.

i'm thinking to actually work with a main container with a position:absolute
property, and feed its top, left, widht, height values according the the detected
user screen dimensions.

I know position:absolute is not recommanded, but i don't see any reason why if
you use it in a javascript-enabled context, allowing you to detect and
reposition things according to the user configuration. But i'm probably missing
some knowledge here.
Does anyone have arguments against the use of position:absolute for layouts?
Performance issues?

Thanks a lot,

Alexandre
