Okay, so you are looking for a feature that doesn't exist yet - mapping multiple inputs to a single value. As the workaround (delegating the mapping to the serverside) doesn't seem to be acceptable, the way to go is to create a ticket for the feature: http://dev.jquery.com/newticket (requires registration) The odds of implementing the feature a severely better if you can provide a patch to start with. That is, look at the autocomplete code and try to implement what you need yourself, and post the modifications you made.
