Escape your quotes or use a different quote
Escape quote
var tour-info-div = '$(\'this\').prev(\'.tour-info-div\')' ;
var update-div = '$(\'this\').prev(\'.update-div\')' ;
Use double quote
var tour-info-div = "$('this').prev('.tour-info-div')";
var update-div = "$('this').prev('.update-div')";
