Sorry about this paul... I have tried the older files and i seem to have the same problem.
Annoyingly, i was using the files in the test folder of the jquery realworld/photogallery demo, as this had prettymuch 100% of the functionality i required. I have now overwritten all my js files and am still having this problem. Also, i find this demo works fine when scrolled. I think it must be something else that i have done.... The only thing i have changed is to add a call to my own ajax function, and i have altered the css to fit my needs.
