I am trying to use a draggable list and dropping it into 2 sortable
lists but the connectToSortable doesn't recognise the array that I
have passed to it.
If I just have one class that is used with connectToSortable then it
attaches itself to that list, but not when it's in an Array format..

doc: An Array with comma seperated selector strings that match
sortable lists, for example ["div ul", "ul.myclass"]

I tried the ul.myclass approach but that too doesn't work. Plus the
myclass is already a ul element.

any ideas?

Below is some code:

<div id="div1">
    <ul class="list1">
        <li id="li1" class="li_item">&nbsp;</li>
        <li id="li2" class="li_item">&nbsp;</li>
        <li id="li3" class="li_item">&nbsp;</li>
        <li id="li4" class="li_item">&nbsp;</li>
    </ul>
</div>

<div id="layout">
    <div id="left">
        <ul class="left_items">
        </ul>
    </div>
    <div id="mid">
        <ul class="mid_items">
        </ul>
    </div>
    <div id="right">
        <ul class="right_items">
        </ul>
    </div>
</div>

<script type="text/javascript">

        jQuery(".left_items").sortable();

        jQuery(".right_items").sortable();

        jQuery(".list1 > li").draggable({
            helper: "clone",
            connectToSortable: [".left_items", ".right_items"]
        });

</script>
