I've seen this happen when a dialog is opened before the content has height.
For example, if you call .dialog on an image that's still loading, the
dialog will open immediately. Because the image is still loading, it doesn't
yet have a height, giving the dialog no height. By the time the image
finishes loading to give the dialog some height, it's already positioned,
and won't automatically reposition itself.
