I had an idea to use the slider with 2 handles to determine a range in which to show events on an event calendar, in similar fashion to the old UI demo "real world range interface" which is not online any longer, but I have an example archived here:
http://blueinkdesign.com/jQuery_UI/demos/real-world/range-interface/ But Im a bit tripped up thinking about reprogramming the slider to count, for instance, from 20090320 on the left to 20091231 on the right or something, so that the continuum would count up logically for dates.
