All jQuery UI plugins get a ui-{pluginname} class[*]. So you can use that
class to find that element again:
lower = $(".ui-slider").slider("option", "min");If there are more than one, this will get the min from the first. - Richard [*] This is a general rule, with exceptions. For example, the element on which you call .dialog() gets a class of ui-dialog-content and is wrapped in a generated element with the ui-dialog class.
