Okay, based on the suggestion in the comment I linked previously,
here's what I came up with to wrap the datepicker in its own div so
that I could use the namespaced css:

$(".datepicker").datepicker().closest(’body’).find(’#ui-datepicker-
div’).wrap(’<div class="cal"></div>’);

It works great, but I'm curious if this is the most efficent way to
traverse the DOM to get to the datepicker...
