Does the ui theme even address inputs with the radius?  I don't see
where it does.  You could try doing a text diff between the base theme
and your custom to see where the culprit is.  Do you have other css on
your page for inputs?  Maybe that is getting overwritten by a style
with a higher weight in the custom theme.

A sample page would help with debugging.
