Hi, Basically when the button is clicked I wanted the paragraph to slide up, but in IE6 + 7 as soon as the button is clicked and the slide transition begins, it completley seems to override the overflow:hidden' property set to the DIV and shows everything.
Here's a quick bare-bones example to illustrate the problem: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> <title>Untitled Document</title> <style type="text/css" media="screen"> #test{ width:200px; height:50px; overflow:hidden; border:10px solid #000; } span{ display:block; background:pink; font-size:28px; font-weight:bold; cursor:pointer; } </style> <script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery-1.3.2.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery-ui-1.7.2.custom.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { $("span").click(function() { $("p").hide("slide", { direction: "up", distance:0 }, 2000); }); }); </script> </head> <body> <div id="test"> <p>Some<br />Text<br />Over<br />A<br />Few<br />Lines</p> </div> Clicky Here!! </div> </body> </html> As you can see as soon as the button is clicked IE6+7 ignore the overflow hidden property added to the DIV. I'm eventually using this to scroll over images rather than a pargaraph but this illustrates the problem anyway. -- View this message in context: http://old.nabble.com/jQuery-Slide-Overflow-Problem-in-IE6-%2B-7-tp26579056s27240p26579056.html Sent from the jQuery UI Discussion mailing list archive at Nabble.com. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "jQuery UI" group.
