I have started my small educational software group down the path from Flash to jQuery. A lot of our learning games have standard graphical widgets like a scoreboard and timer. These widgets have standard little icons for 'play again', 'stop', 'start', etc. Is there a best practice for embedding or linking graphic icons into a widget? Theoretically I could use a data URI scheme.
