It's not Apache 1.3.12 that's the problem, it's Stronghold. Stronghold uses
EAPI and compiles some extra crap into Apache.

The JRun module should work fine, although you'll get that useless message from
Stronghold on start up. It doesn't mean anything important. To get rid of it
you'll need to recompile the JRun module as it says, or compile it into
Stronghold.

Subject: Anyone using jrun3 with apache 1.3.12?

I'm using Stronghold 3 which is a based on apache 1.3.12. Jrun starts
but when I load Stronghold it dies and gives the following message:

[Sun Jul 16 21:34:49 2000] [warn] Loaded DSO
/opt/WWW/jrun3/connectors/apache/sparc-solaris/mod_jrun.so uses plain
Apache 1.3 API, this module might crash under EAPI! (please recompile it
with -DEAPI)

Does Jrun support this? Have any instructions for recompiling with
-DEAPI ? I'm assuming it is referring to recompiling the jrun module,
not Stronghold.

Would appreciate all help as I'm on a super killer deadline right now to
get this and some other things dependent on it working!
Thanks,
Lynn
