Just in case,
I had the same problem on my Default Server under Windows 2000 server.
Recently, I learned that Default Server stopped due to Port Conflict.
Did you check whether your default server is still running???
I tried the same thing at work, and it worked O.K. and I believe
the reason is that default server was still running O.K.
Thanks.

Subject: JRun 3.0 cannot save local.properties file error---
Hi,
1. When I try to configure the jrun webServer for virtual mapping or Java server pages of
mu web application I get the error which says " cannot save local.properties in default /cw
cannot write to directory null".
2. In Application Management console, the current status of the webServer ( machine-name
-> JRun Default Server -> JRun Web Server ) says " on" . But it does'nt seem to be on (
netstat command reveals that) .
Any quick help please ...........
Thanks in advance,
