It fails when unpacking, specifically the setup.exe file.  I downloaded it
several times from the Allaire site.  The file is jr30w.exe.  It unpacks
fine and I get the demo splash.  I click on the java environment install
above the option to install Jrun and I get the error while unpacking.  I
also tried without the JRE and still get errors.

Doesn't sound like a JVM issue.  It's probably an Installshield issue.  At
what
point during the install does it fail?  Where did you get it?  Directly from
Allaire or from one of our resellers?    What's the file name of the
executable
you're trying to run as the installer?
