By default, JRun's EJB engine will look for users/passwords in
deploy.properties, for example:

ejipt.users=spender1:pass;spender2:pass;saver1:pass;saver2:pass;chief:pass

The JMC 'manage users' functionality is only for securing user access to the
JMC.

Subject: How to Configure a User

Hi! Scott,

In sample10a , in EJB Client implementation for getting Initial context we
are specify user and password.
I am trying to replicate the same using my own Java client.

1) I created users in default server using 'manage users' from JRun
management console.
     I cannot get initial context using my own user defined users and
passwords.
2) I tried using 'admin ','myadminpassword' cannot get initial context.

in that I am using this code.

Properties     p    =     new      Properties();

p.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY,"allaire.ejipt.ContextFactory");

p.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, url);

p.put(Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL, "admin");

p.put(Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS, "myadminpasswd");

Context ctx =  new InitialContext(p);

is throwing the following exception

Now I am puzzled how to get an Initial Context.

Which users are allowed to get Initial Context and how do i configure those
users in JRun.

In weblogic I can just specify users and passwords in weblogic.properties
file and can get InitialContext. How do I get an InitialContext from a Java
client for JRun.

Am I missing anything?
