To check the JRun version look in $JRUN_HOME/Release.txt at the top.  That will
tell you which build.

I haven't tried the IBM JDK 1.3 on Win32, but I have on Linux.  Only reason I
didn't was that you had to go through the Websphere site to download it.  I
should though.  Anyway, another high power VM you should try (though it's not
free, except for trial) is JRockit from www.jrockit.com.  That VM cranks, as you
can see on the Volano reports too.  The IBM 1.1.8 VM on Windows is also blazing
fast, especially compared to Sun 1.1.6!
