After couple of days struggling, I an still unable to set up the JDBC data source for Oracle 8i successfully. I have Oracle 8i (version 8.1.6) running on Window2000 server. Database SID is beta. With JMC, I set data source Driver as oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver, URL as jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:beta in both Admin and Default server(JRun 3.0). I added the classpath c:\Oracle\Ora81\jdbc\lib in both servers. Also tried classpath c:\Oracle\Ora81\jdbc\lib\classes111.zip and c:\Oracle\Ora81\jdbc\lib\classes12.zip, since these are two zip files under :\Oracle\Ora81\jdbc\lib. If I unzip the file, I didn't find any .jar file. Username and password are entered for both server. When I click "TEST" in either server, I always got "No valid JDBC driver is specified". Can anyone help?
