I am having some big performance problems with JRun. I would appreciate it
if anyone else can share their experiences.

I have a jsp web application running in JRun via Netscape Enterprise Server
3.6.

I have put a timer in one of my JSP pages, it takes about 700 ms to execute
and the execution time is very consistent.

However, download time for the page can be anywhere from 2 to 20 seconds.
Sometimes it is several seconds until some of my small image buttons (e.g.
1-2k) turn up. If I refresh the same page a dozen times in a row, 25% of the
time it will be e.g. 2 seconds, 50% 5-10 seconds, and 25% of the time about
20 seconds.

The problem is magnified by using https on the server.

Downloading the page involves about two dozen HTTP GETs due to included
javascripts, small images, CSS, etc. I have used a TCP tunnelling program
and I see these GETs every time I refresh.

Can anyone say if they have seen this type of behaviour before and what the
possible causes are?
