I have seen the same problem.
I use FORM based custom authentication with JRun 3.0 SP1.
The scenario is a slightly different, though.
I logged in as user A. Login is successful i.e. user and password are correct(because I do not get loginerror.html) but I get a 403 forbidden message because that user is not authorised for the Web page in question. (i.e. isPrincipalInRole() returns false).
So I use 'Back' on my browser and login again this time as user 'B' an authorised user, according to web.xml.
JRUN will now hang. I get no response after I submit the login page.

Ramon,
Are you referring to logging into the JRUN admin or do you mean using web
authentication for web apps. If so, are you using BASIC or FORM based?

Subject: Duplicate logins seem to hang JRun 3.0.1
Hi --
One of our users noticed that if you try to log in after already having
logged in (e.g. by manually typing the URL that takes you to the login
form), JRun will hang and eventually crash. Is this expected behavior? That
is, is going back to the login page after you've already logged in something
to be avoided under the J2EE app model?
We've reproduced this under JRun 3.0 and JRun 3.0+SP1 (which I the
distribution labels as JRun 3.0.1).
Thanks...
Ramon
