We have an open bug regarding this for which there is a workaround:
Here is the description of the bug and its workaround:
"The script "/jrun/bin/jrunpasswd" does not work on Unix/Linux systems.
When you run this command with valid arguments it returns a usage statement
for the "/jrun/bin/jrun" script. And it does not update the
users.properties file.
The workaround is to use the command shown for Windows on page 412 of the
"Developing Applications with JRun". The command shown for Windows
platforms is: java allaire.jrun.security.PropertyFileAuthentication options.
