I'm rather new too this world, so please be understanding and ask, if what
I write, doesn't make sufficient sense.

My company runs JRun 3 on three AIX boxes, with three virtual JRun servers
on each giving 9 JRun servers in total.

I'm writing some basic functions, that are to be deployed on every server,
but to avoid deploying a war-file on each of the 9 servers, I'd like to
know if it is possible to deploy to a machine instead. I.e. if I can deploy
to the JRun installation, so to say, without messing the server
configuration up too badly.

I'm aware Allaire has developed some custom tags, <jrun:xxx>, which are
globally available due to a virtual mapping of the tld directory. Is it
possible for us "normal" developers to do that too? And, is it a vendor
specific solution, conflicting with J2EE?

Any answers appriciated.
