Yes, but it's just a hunch.  Are you using Netscape?  I discovered a bug
last week where if you have a bogus username or password in your
datasource configuration, and you test it, JRun sends back an error
message that should pop up in a Javascript alert box.  But there's a bug
in the Javascript (unterminated string literal) that prevents it from
being displayed.  On IE (at least the version I have on my Win2K box), I
get a Javascript error dialog telling me there's a runtime bug in the
Javascript.  On Netscape, I get nothing, except down in the lower left
corner of the browser frame, real small and inconspicuous, it says
something like "Javascript error, type javascript: into location bar for
message."

So if you're using Netscape, try typing javascript: into the location
bar and hit enter and see if you get some debug info.  It might be
another Javascript bug, hiding the real error (or maybe the same error--
bogus username or password).  No guarantee, just an idea.
