Very dependent upon what DB using and thereby what type of SQL, PLSQL? TSQL?
Weird Access SQL?

The best thing to do would be print out the SQL via out.print or some
incantation of println and copy and paste that statement into a SQL query
window, then tweak it until it gets you the result you need.  The error is
not so much in the "code" syntactically but more in what you're asking for.
