We have not had problems with JRUN and Windows 2000 working together, BUT we
did have problems with JRUN under Win 2000's working with our third party
tools, such as our JDBC driver. For some reason, JRUN could not obtain a
connection inside of the connection manager wizard with our third party
driver under Win 2000. Under WinNT 4.0 we had no problems. The vendor of
the driver went out of business 2 weeks into this issue, so even though we
did turn in a tech support bug report, we never obtained any assistance in
trying to resolve the issue.
Make sure that you test your web site under Win 2000 on a second server
machine BEFORE you convert your whole system over, particularly if you are
using a suite of third party tools inside of your JSP pages. We ended up
moving our server back to Windows NT 4.0 until the end of this year, at
which time we will look into purchasing another JDBC driver and revising our
JSP pages accordingly.

I'm getting a new machine for my web applications, and originally, ordered
it with WinNT.
Had a meeting today of migrating the campus to Win2000. Wondering if I
should change that order?
