Could be the jvms.properties in the lib directory. Is it still there? Is
default=/path/to/servers/default correct?

Subject: Default Server Error

Please help. The default server on my test machine is hosed up with
this in the default-err.log file:

java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: String index out of range: -1
        at java.lang.String.charAt(String.java:507)
        at
allaire.jrun.util.OrderedProperties.load2(../util/OrderedProperties.java
:313)
        at
allaire.jrun.util.OrderedProperties.load(../util/OrderedProperties.java:
261)
        at allaire.jrun.ServiceConfig.<init>(../ServiceConfig.java:77)
        at allaire.jrun.ServiceConfig.<init>(../ServiceConfig.java:67)
        at JRun.main(../../../JRun.java:101)

The admin utility lists the server as "default" instead of "JRun Default
Server". Little things like the Control Port or classpath values are
completely gone in the admin utility, but everything is fine in the
local.properties file. The state of the server is listed as unknown
instead of running or stopped.

Any assistance you could offer would be appreciated.

Kindest Regards,

Derek Nerenberg
