You can also get JDK 1.3.1, which includes a fix for it. The problem is the
NT JVM, not JRun. Add the -Xrs arg in JDK 1.3.1 to your javaargs in JRun.

There's another fix, which Alpesh mentions below. That fix is called
"dontdiejava.exe" and it comes with JRun 3.0 SP2a and JRun 3.1. See the
release notes for instructions on how to configure it.

My guess is you are running JDK/JRE 1.3 You nned to get a patch from
Allaire that stops this behavior, of course, I lost the link for it.
Search
the Allaire site, or probably better, use Google to search the Allaire
site
for the information. The patch is straight forward.

Until then, don't log off, just Lock the server. We did that for about
a
week with no problem until we found the patch, except when people forgot
and
logged off :-)

Subject: Logoff disables JRun 3.1 web connector
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

This problem is probably in another thread, and if so my apologies in
advance.

In JRun 3.1 (Developer and Advanced editions) in NT Service mode, using
Win
2k Server (SP2) and connected to IIS 5...

Whenever the admin logs off, it quits the JRun Admin Server. No
problem,
since it keeps the JRun Default Server running - but the Web Connector
in
the Default Server to IIS fails (cannot connect to JRUN), which gives
the
obvious error: "cannot connect to JRun Server"

I have to log back in, start up Admin Server, which restarts Default
Server,
then it works.

Help!

Thanks,
TD
