> JRun is a service on NT. Is there a way to remotely shut down and reboot
a
> JRun Server?

You can use mmc to remotely manage services via the
"Computer Management" or "Services" snap-ins. When you add the
snap-in, you should be prompted for the machine to control. You
might have to have a connection to the remote machine already or
be running as the domain admin. An easy way to make a remote
connection as Administrator is:

        net use \\machine.name.here /user:Administrator

I know that mmc definitely works under Windows 2K to
manage either 2K or NT4 machines; I don't know how well it works
on NT4.

As an alternative to mmc, you should also check out
Service+ from Active+ software (http://www.activeplus.com). This
Control Panel lets you easily manage services locally or
remotely. mmc has a steeper learning curve as compared to
Service+.
