Hi, all, we run a site off 7 sparc/solaris boxes running JRun 3.1.16777 behind a Cisco LocalDirector and Netscape NES 3.6 SP3.
We update and hot-deploy some of the JSPs regularly on running servers, and mostly, they work. However, the deployed jsps sometimes fail to recompile, as can be seen from the listing in the forwarded mail below. (choicejob.jsp compiles, choicejob2.jsp does not even though they both have timestamps from Jan 7) The symptoms are that some of all of the jsps do not recompile to WEB-INF/jsp even though the jsp/*.jsp files are changed. 'touch'-ing the file does not work, nor does calling the jsp url instead of the servlet url from the browser. (the jsps in question are normally <jsp:include/>'d). Any attempt to recompile the file fails once this error occurs. The only remedy is to restart the JRun process. This is annoying, as it may take some time before we discover that one or more of the servers' contents deviate from the others. Any light shed on this is most welcome!
