Actually, I do see them in the /temp directory, but aren't they suppose to
create their own directory structure under the server?

But that's the problem, it's not being unpacked and I don't see the folders

Hi,

The war file is automatically unpacked into /servers/(your
server)/SERVER-INF/temp.  It is not recommended that you touch these files
though.

I am trying to deploy a .war file by placing the file in the server
directory.  I restart the server and the application is deployed, but I
don't see the web app folders.  Is there anything special that I need to do
to automatically unpack the .war file when deploying?
