John, Make sure you have an entry in the PATH variable for <your JDK>\bin directory. So, if the below path is correct, you would append this to your PATH variable: C:\Java\www.sun.com\j2re1.4.0_01\bin
Also, change the forward slashes to back slashes in the JAVA_HOME variable.
